At the 2011 Fall Meeting, the governors passed the following Motion 2011- G1: That the CFC Handbook be amended as follows: Delete Section 738 (Certificate of Life Master) and replace with: Section 738. Rating Categories, Titles and Certificates.

The CFC Regular Chess Post – October 27/11 – Edmonton Fall Sectional. Starts tomorrow! October 28-30 - in Edmonton, Alberta - IM Edward Porper will be playing. There will be a number of round-robin sections. This is a very different tournament from normal Swiss events as you know your opponents in advance, they will be of approximately the same rating as you and you can prepare for them. Sponsored by the Alberta Chess Association and the Edmonton Chess Club. This is a Road Warrior Event.

The CFC Regular Chess Post – Nov. 24/11 – WYCC Update/ St. John Fall Open.
WYCC Update
The WYCC started last Fri., Nov. 18 ( Rd. 1 ) and runs to Nov. 26 ( Rd. 9 ). It is being played in Caldas Novas, Brazil. Canada sent 40 juniors. Rd. 6 was played yesterday. Here are the 4 Canadian team members in the top ranks:
